Combined average salary is given as:

= (Na * + Nb * ) / (Na + Nb)

= (32565 * 78 + 82844 * 13) / (78 + 13)

= 3617042/91

= 39747.71

B)

If we have IQR = 0 for division A, this means that middle 50% of employees have same salary.

This means that if we arrange the salary of employees of divison A in ascending order, all the employees from 25th Percentile (19th or 20th Employee) till 75th percentile (58th or 59th Employee) have same salary. There is no change in salary of all the employee lying in this range.
