Politicians often speak of “family values.” How does this term relate to the diverse fam- ily situations covered in this module, including divorced parents, single parents, blended families, working parents, and lgbt parents
If young children are incapable of viewing TV ads critically, should the government pro- hibit the airing of advertisements during children’s programming? Do you think this would be advisable? Do you think it is feasible?
anwer alll pleaseee
The government, especially in United States is a capitalistic and follows individualistic culture. So, all the people have equal rights to conduct their business thus, even the TV program producers have their right to advertise the advertisements that are approved by statutory body. It’s true that the family system is constantly evolving thus, parents are struggling to bring-up their children along with all their regular employment. Children are increasingly becoming addicted or engaged in TV programs because they have got no one to spend time with. Yet, the parents have the responsibility to restrict the programs their children watch but they cannot control the ads that are broadcasted. They can only turn the TV off or prevent their children from watching it. Thus, it is feasible from the parents’ side but it’s not advisable from the business side.
