Given toothpaste contains 0.23% of Sodium flouride

5.7% of KNO3

Weight of toothpaste = 119 GM's

Molecular weight of Sodium flouride=41.99 gm/ml

Molecular weight of sodium= 23 gm/ml

So percentage mass sodium fluoride that constituted by sodium ion = 23 /41.99= 0.5477

119 GM's of tooth paste contains 0.23% of sodium fluoride so mass of sodium fluoride =

=119x 0.23/100

= 0.27 gm

So in 2.5 GM's of tooth paste mass of sodium fluoride

= 2.5x 0.23/100

= 0.006 gms

So grams of sodium = 0.006x0.5477

= 0.003gms

Molecular weight of KNO3= 101.10 gm/ml

Tooth paste tube of 119gms contains 5.7% of KNO3

KNO3 formula units are in the tube of toothpaste=

5.7x 119/100

= 6.783 gms
