a) The simplest method of evaluation of moisture content is the oven-dry method.

b) Take a small sample in the container of a known weight and weigh it to find out the current weight of the sample (say x gm). Put the container inside the oven and heat the sample at 104 deg Celcius for 24 hrs. Take out the sample and take the weight again. Subtract the weight of the container to get the weight of the dry sample (say y gm). Now subtract the weight of dry sample (x) from the bulk sample weight (y) to get the weight of moisture present in the sample.

c) The main problem faced in this case is that the sample, when taken out of the oven, comes again in the contact of air and might gain some amount of moisture.

d) closed chamber can be used to mitigate the problem.
