As a starting company with a very small customer base and low public awareness, is all media a good thing? To build awareness, should starting companies only focus on positive public attention or strive to retain any attention possible whether good or bad? This would allow them to focus on fixing their reputation once they do build hype/consumers around their company.

Answer #1

Media always give good attention to anything, if a starting company gets a good media attention it is very vital advantage for future of company. The media may be normal media or social media too. The importance of social media in business is growing at warp speed. With more and more people joining social media sites and using them regularly/efficiently, the social media industry is bound to become bigger in the coming years. It’s booming like never before.

With such astonishing growth of media, every business today needs to leverage proper social media channel in the best possible way. Not because it’s the “in thing”, and not because it sounds simple, but because their target audience is hanging around the popular social networks. And they’re engaging with their favorite brands and connecting with them on different levels.

According an infographic published by Ambassador, 71% of consumers are more likely to recommend a brand to others if they have a positive experience with it on social media.

To build awareness, should starting companies only focus on positive public attention or strive to retain any attention possible whether good or bad? This question is little bit problematic, because sometimes negatives gives more benefit than positives. So here am going to explain why negatives gives good attention?

Am not telling that as a starting company should focus on negative attention, but if getting more attention that also can try at the last moment.

Nowadays, all are checking the reviews before they are going for a deal, so if all the reviews become more positive, they can assume it is fake, but some bad or reviews also may be there, but not fully. It can be more trusty than being full of positive reviews.

We all know that Apple has gotten a lot pricier over the years, and their reputation has kind of taken a hit due to it. Apple also isn't known for being the most charitable or a business that really focuses on helping the community around them. I think a great investment idea for Apple would be on that gives back to the communities around their...
