Answer #1

Western economic models are capitalistic models of free market like the United States. Whereas the Eastern economic models are centralized and government directed like China. However Korea has structurally transformed growth trajectory in one generation only.

Korean economy is pro market and produces high end consumer goods like electronics and automobiles. Western economic growth was based upon innovation and human capital. But Korea's growth is directed by ABCD (agility, benchmarking, convergence, and dedication). This model served as strategic framework to disseminate the Korean wave across the globe.

The synergy of human capital and investment helped Korea to reach new heights despite of conflict among north and south area. The division of labor not only enhances the production but also facilitates in harnessing social capital.
