The percentile is just the cumulative proportion stated as a percent: the percent of all scores that were lower than this one. In a certain year, the total MCAT scores were close to Normal with mean 25.4 and standard deviation 6.1.

mean = = 25.4

standard deviation = =6.1

P(X<30 ) = P[(X- ) / < (30 -25.4) /6.1 ]

= P(z <0.75 )

Using z table

=0.7734

answer=77%
