Lessons learned regarding disaster planning are as below

  • Care Plan for people: The learning from the disaster plan is that we need to have string plan for people care so that we can be sure that people are protected and lives canbe saved in the disaster plan. Care plan for people saving is significant because we need to give highest attention in people care and we should have multiple options for people care in the disaster.
  • Expand the hand for help: One should be ever ready to support the people in the disaster and always raise our hand for support of others. The one should try to extend maximum help to the best of his level.
  • Never wait and execute as possible – In the disaster plan and management we should never wait for anything and should not think that someone will come and help the needy. We should help to the extent possible so that the help event mores and people get the helps.
  • Our focus should be towards the children, female and older people as much as possible so that these people get the support to the level possible.
  • We should have adequate contact details of government stations, agencies, police station, municipality etc. so that these can be approached upon need in the disaster.

The lessons learned regarding staffing an HCO during a disaster is as below

  • HCO staffing should be such that they are ready for helping people in emergencies.
  • HCO staffing should be experienced disasters so that they can be better prepared in managing the disasters in future.
  • HCO staffing should be brace and mentally strong so that they can execute the disaster management plan adequately and may not run away from the disaster event.
