Answer: There are certain types of questions that are prohibited under law from being asked on the employment application. Three of them are

  1. Questions related with the gender and race and gender like, are you a black? Or any similar type of question
  2. Questions related with physical disabilities like do you have any physical disability?
  3. Questions related with medical conditions like are you pregnant?
  4. Questions related with nationality like what is your country of origin?

All these questions are illegal as per the employment laws in U.S and the applicant may sue the organization if these questions are asked directly or indirectly from the applicant. Apart from this, such questions may also bring a bad reputation to the company in the job market.
