1. What is the difference between mid-latitude and tropics cyclones?

2. Why do cyclones rotate counter-clockwise in the northern hemisphere but clockwise in the southern hemisphere? Unlike hurricanes, why is it difficult to predict the time when a tornado occurs?

3. Explain why the Midwest U.S is considered as a ‘tornado alley?’ Why are the months of May and June the peak times for tornado occurrence?

No wrong answers and I want to check all 3 questions if they are correct or not.

I am trying to correct my answers but the answers. didnt answer my answers So this time answer all of the questions right.

The difference between mid-latitude cyclones and the tropics cyclones are as follows :-

- Mid-latitude cyclones are cold cored while tropical cyclone are warm cored.

- Mid-latitude cyclones have peak winds near the tropopause in jet streams while tropical cyclone have peak winds near the surface.

- Mid-latitude cyclones intensify over land, however intensity of tropical cyclone weaken rapidly over land.

- Mid-latitude cyclones cannot transform into tropical cyclone of higher wind speed while tropical cyclone may transform into mid-latitude cyclones at high altitude.
