Unit product cost under absorption costing includes Direct Materials, Direct labor, variable manufacturing overhead and Fixed manufacturing overhead. It is to be noted that absorption costing treats fixed manufacturing overhead as product cost

Unit product here includes Direct Materials,, direct labor and variable manufacturing overhead. Variable costing treats fixed manufacturing overhead as period cost.
