Answer #1

Answer : The formula to obtain the growth rate of velocity is,

Money supply growth rate + Velocity growth rate = Inflation rate + Economic growth rate

=> 6% + Velocity growth rate = 2% + 2%

=> Velocity growth rate = 2% + 2% - 6%

=> Velocity growth rate = - 2%

Therefore, here the velocity of money decreases by 2%.

    l The quantity equation tells us that in the long run, when the economy is at potential GDP, an increase in the growth of the money supply will always increase inflation by the same amount if velocity is constant. O increase inflation by a smaller amount if velocity increases. increase inflation by a larger amount if velocity decreases. O always increase inflation. O have no effect on inflation if velocity is constant.
