Answer #1

Introduction-The Stanford Experiment was conducted to study the psychological effects of perceived power. In this experiment, the volunteers were assigned as guards or prisoners to investigate the behavior modification when a person get power and another come under control.

This experiment became a milestone for American prison system because power share changes the attitude of a person and probability of power misuse increases, on the other hand, a person who lives under the control of powerful authorities refuse to follow instructions because of self-image and felling of self-freedom.

In my opinion, the prison should be more humanistic and concerned about wilful criminals and accidental criminals, because prison is made to modify the behavior of a person rather than reduce the fear of police and social agencies.
