Please do a Short answers for all of these questions.... thanks :
1. What is a ‘polarizing quantity’ with respect to directional overcurrent relays? How does the ground grid interact with this protective device?
2. Describe why it would be a bad idea to run away from a substation fault.
3. Explain why NERC considers a single DC ground in a substation to be a serious condition worth tracking at the regional level.
1. Subsequent static as well as electromechanical directional ground relays were designed so that either current polarization aor voltage polarization or acombination of both may be used .When current aline is used as the polarization quantity the relay is said to be current polarized .
when failure of electrical insulation ovcurs or fault occurs , current flows from the power system to earth
2.A fault on the low voltage side of delta wye transformer especially a ohase to phase ground fault could convert to a phase to phase fault on the high side this could happen if the fault is located a few miles away from the substation.
3.As defined by the Regional Reliability Organization, the electrical generation resources, ..... What is considered to be “one bus away” from the generation? ..... chargers are equipped with dc voltage alarms and ground detection alarms

Electrical power: Please do a Short answers for all of these questions.... thanks : 3. What device on the California-Oregon-Intertie has been constructed to minimize the risk of the power system slipping a pole in the case of a loss of downstream transmission capacity. 4. In an extra-high voltage transmission system, describe what determines the direction of real power flow (megawatts). 5. In an extra-high voltage transmission system, given a power angle of less than 15 degrees and normal system...
