Answer #1

|A| = 4 m/s^2

|B| = 3 m/s^2

|A + B| = sqrt(4^2 + 3^2 + 2 x 4 x 3 x cos(40)) = 6.58 m/s^2

B)

Tan(theta) = (3 sin(40))/(4 + 3 cos(40)) = 0.306

Theta = arctan (0.306) = 17.02° with A
