What is the maximum speed of the motorcycle? It travels to the east along a long straight road.

The acceleration = a = 6.2 - 1.31 t for 0 < t < 5.00 seconds where acceleration is  m/s2

At t = 0 the velocity was 2.64 metres per second and the position was 7.54  metres

What is the maximum speed?

Hint - you have to find the time "t" first then use anti-derivatives to get an equation for the velocity.

The maximum speed occurs when the acceleration is zero. Think about that. If the acceleration was positive the motorcycle would still be speeding up, so it would not yet be at maximum speed. If the acceleration was negative it would be slowing down, so the maximum speed is when the acceleration is zero.
