A. The reason for policy change is reliable as an IQ test would be a too shallow approach to measure the competence of the employees. Instead the skills such as public speaking, group discussion, formal writing, etc. could be rated and provide a better judgement insight to the recruiters.

B. The practice is anonymous but not confidential since nowhere its mentioned that the results would not be shared or used anywhere.
