Do you have any advice or studying tips for computer science majors?
Two most important things which you must focus upon is to undertake internships in both fields i.e. research internship and industrial internship. This will help you in honing your skills set, also you'll be able to build your profile. Try to do industrial internships in both big companies and a startup, this will give two distinct experiences and knowledge. The second most important thing is to build projects which can be for competitions, for learning a concept and sometimes for building your profile as well.
Other things which I recommend you should do are as follows:
Most importantly, do not forget to enjoy your life as a student, studies are important but you should take care of your health as well. Also build a hobby/hobbies which will help you to relieve the stress, It can be drawing, painting, reading books etc.
All the Best :)

2. You are planning a survey of starting salaries for recent computer science majors. In the latest survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the average starting salary was reported to be $61,287. If you assume that the standard deviation is $3850, what sample size do you need to have a margin of error equal to $500 with 95% confidence? (report as an integer) 3. Suppose that in the setting of question 2 you have resources to contact...
In a class of 125 students, 28 are computer science majors, 52 are mechanical engineering majors, 10 are civil engineers and the rest are general engineering majors.Assume students only have one major If a student is chosen at random what is the probability they are: Round your answers to 3 decimal places a clvil engineering major? o8 a civil engineering major or mechanical engineering major?496 a general engineering major? 280 not a computer science major? 776 Suppose six students from...
Our definition of the field of computer science is only one of many that have been proposed. Because it is so young, people working in the field are still debating how best to define exactly what they do. Compare these definitions with the one presented in this chapter and discuss the differences among them. Discuss how different definitions may give you a vastly...

A study of undergraduate computer science students examined changes in major after the first year. The study examined the fates of 256 students who enrolled as first-year students in the same fall semester. The students were classified according to gender and their declared major at the beginning of the second year. For convenience we use the labels CS for computer science majors, EO for engineering and other science majors, and O for other majors. The explanatory variables included several high...

Have any of you had experience with a computer virus? Do you know how you got it? How did you "fix" it? Specifically have any of you received a virus from a macro? Why would you not want to use the highest security level in Access so that no macros are allowed?
