According to Octet Rule, each atom should have eight electrons in it's valence shell. The atom X is triple bonded and one bond will give 2 electrons. Already, it has 6 electrons around atom X. Hence it needs 2 more electron to satisfy the octet rule. Thus, it needs one more atom to be bonded that will give 2 more electrons to exist eight electrons around the atom X
