The latex foam is made from the milky latex sap from the Rubber Tree. It has isoprene polymers and other chemicals like carbohydrates etc. Whereas the synthetic foam is made from petrochemicals. Styrene-butadiene (SBR), neoprene or polyurethane (PU) are the commn ones. They are mixed with fire retardent chemicals as well.
The latex from natural source does not have these retardents unless they are addded in to it. Therefore the combustion properties of synthetic foams are different from natural latex foams.
why is latex foam different from synthetic foams in its combustion properties?
Humax Manufacturing produces two popular grades of commercial synthetic grass among its many other products. In the coming production period, the manager needs to decide how many rolls of each grade should be produced to maximize profit. Each roll of Grade X grass carpet uses 50 units of synthetic grass fiber, requires 25 hours of production time, and needs 20 units of foam backing. Each roll of Grade Y grass carpet uses 40 units of synthetic grass fiber, requires 28...
Explain why diamond and graphite have such different properties even though they are both composed of carbon.
How was optical rotation different from other physical properties 4. Describe the physical properties (color and state) of L-(+)-tartaric acid, trans-1,2- diaminocyclohexane, and your diastereomeric salt mixture. How is optical rotation different from other physical properties?
Why 1,3 dibromobenzene and 1,4 dibromobenzene have similar chemical formula but have different properties?
Explain briefly why cellulose and starch have such different properties even though they are both polymers of hexose sugars
A. How do the properties of soaps made from vegetable oils differ from soaps made from animal fat? B. Why are the properties of soaps made from vegetable oils different from soaps made from animal fat. C. Why is ethanol needed to dissolve the fat, but not the soap
A study of n 51 hospital employees who were diagnosed with a latex allergy from exposure to the powder on latex gloves found that the number of latex gloves used per week by the sample workers is summarized as follows: x-19.1 and s-8.4. Let ơ2 represent the variance in the number of latex gloves used per week by all employees. Consider testing o100 against Ha of #100. Complete parts a through c. a. Give the rejection region for the test...
6. Why is it necessary to wear latex gloves when handling the amino acid chromatogram? 7. An amino acid travels 2.5 cm from the origin on a paper chromatogram, and the solvent front travels 7.5 cm. Show the calculation for the Rf value of the amino acid? 8. Why should a pencil – not a pen --- be used to mark the origin on a paper chromatogram? 9. What precautions should be observed in this experiment?
