a)

using 2nd equation of motion

h = v sin x * t - 0.5 gt^2

5 = 30 sin 50 * t - 4.9 t^2

solving for t

t = 4.461 s

b)

D = v cos x* t

D = 30 cos 50 * 4.461

D = 86.02 m

=======

note: there are two time when it reach 5 m above the striking point, i've considered the far point.
