What is Recourse of Grounding and Wiring ?
Grounding
Basically it is just an extra wire connected from the body of the equipment from one end and other end is burried inside the earth. Often people get confused between the use of fuse and ground, fuse is used to protect the equipment from high currents and grounding is used to protect operator(person using the device) from being getting electric shock. Even a small Milli amps of current can cause damage for the operator . whenever there is a misconnection in the equipment the currents flows from body of the equipment to the earth without harming the operator.
Have you ever wondered why the ground pin is bigger than other two?
It is because , if people insert the ground pin to live wire socket , it is just like a short circuit . So in order to prevent that , the ground pin in made bigger than other two.
Wiring
There is nothing much to tell about wiring, it is done in order to supply power to the electrical equipment. Again the thickness of wire depends upon how much current the equipment needs.
If it is high power equipment Device we have to use more thicker wire.
At a construction site, all cord sets and receptacles not part of the permanent wiring shall be tested for continuity and proper connection of the grounding conductor and plugs and written record of the tests provided to the authority having jurisdiction: (a) Before first use on the construction site. (b) When there is evidence of damage. (c) Before equipment is returned to service after repairs. (d) At intervals not exceeding 3 months. (e) All of the above (f) There is...

A company produces industrial wiring. One batch of wiring is specified to be 2.17 centimeters (cm) thick. A company inspects the wiring in seven locations and determines that, on the average, the wiring is about 2.17 cm thick. However, the measurements vary. It is unacceptable for the variance of the wiring to be more than 0.05 cm2. The standard deviation of the seven measurements on this batch of wiring is 0.36 cm. Use α = 0.025 to determine whether the...
