The dollar is strong when there is an appreciation of dollar with respect to other currency and on the other hand, the dollar is weak or depreciated when it is having less value than the other currency

Say for example when there is an appreciation of dollar than in exporting, the value of profit increases but in the depreciation, the importing cost is more than the exporting which causes weakness of the dollar.
