Wearable electronics such as Apple Watches and Fitbits, is one of the new big data developments in fitness. Athletes and ordinary people are now jumping on this bandwagon to keep track of their moves, exercises and heartrates using this tool. Others are seen as even something of an accent to clothes. These apps record almost nonstop, even while the user sleeps, to detect biometric details such as sleeping patterns and resting heartbeats.
This is an ethical problem for athletes, as athletic biometric data (ADA) is a major concern for commercial reasons without the individual's permission. This data causes an spike in' gambling around biometric data from teams ' (Fisher, 2018). Sports gaming is still a major concern, but this sophisticated technology offers business such as professional football leagues more licensing incentives. When used properly and with the users ' permission, wearable technology is a fantastic analysis tool but the distinctions become blurred when the data is used in the wrong way.
