Na2CO3+2HCl--->2NaCl+H2CO3?
I need the balanced equation, complete ionic eq, and net ionic. Please include states of matter. What I have trouble understanding is why the balanced equation doesnt show2 sodiums on the right side as well when i searched the answers online? How is it balanced if there is only one sodium on right and 2 on left? The way I did it here seems like its balanced to me? Also, how do you know if the number goes next to the element as a subscript or before the entire compound? I am so confused.
Actually you've balanced it right.The total ionic and the Net ionic equations are given as below-
So now if you look at the compound Na2CO3 in the left,it clearly contain 2 Sodium ions,to balance this you are giving a coefficient of 2 before NaCl in the right,this is how it is balanced.
Na2CO3 is a compound by its own,so we are not to control to give '2' in its subscript as the Molecular formula of Sodium Carbonate is 'Na2CO3'. To balance the two Sodium of the compound,we can give a coefficient of 2 before NaCl.

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
Hi there! I need to compare two essay into 1 essay, and make it interesting and choose couple topics which im going to talk about in my essay FIRST ESSAY “Teaching New Worlds/New Words” bell hooks Like desire, language disrupts, refuses to be contained within boundaries. It speaks itself against our will, in words and thoughts that intrude, even violate the most private spaces of mind and body. It was in my first year of college that I read Adrienne...
