Answer #1

Time taken by 1st shift

t 1 = 37 / 1.25 = 29.6 sec

Time taken by 2nd shift

t2 = 37 / 2 = 18.5 sec

Av speed

Vs = 37*2 / ( t1 + t2)

Vs = 1.54 m/s

    An outdoorsman observes a Squirtle swimming in a river, As the Squirtle swims with the river's current, the outdoorsman observes it traveling 220 m in 28.3 s. The Squirtle turns around and swims against the current, taking 45.7 s to travel the same distance of 220 m. Assuming the Squirtle's speed relative to the water and the river's speed relative to the outdoorsman are both constant, what is the Squirtle's swimming speed relative to the water? Squirtle's speed relative to...
