Answer- (b). Cash balance.

Explanation-

Cash flow statement is a statement prepared to analyse the movement of cash inflows and cash outflows in an entity. It shows the changes in the balance sheet account and the income which affect the cash and cash equivalents.

Cash flow is divided into three major activities. i.e.

cash from operating activities.

cash from investing activities

Cash from financing activities.

The result of these 3 activity are added together with the opening cash and cash equivalents and the final result we will get is closing cash and cash equivalents.

This closing cash balance can be matched or verified with the cash balance stated in the balance sheet.

Thus, The ending figure on the statement of cash flows should match with the figure of Cash balance in the balance sheet.
