Structured Interview is one where hiring managers ask a particular set of predetermined questions in a specific order. These questions are carefully designed by an interviewer and linked to job-relevant criteria. It is the quantitative research method used in every survey and can be presented in a standardized way.

In the unstructured interview, there is not any specific set of questions. The interviewer is able to change all questions at any time accordingly on the responses of the interviewee. It is a qualitative research method that questions are designed depends on the candidate. It is an informal approach where interview conduct in a pleasant manner.
Structured interviews, regardless of content, are generally more valid than unstructured interviews for predicting job performance.
Structured interview compared to unstructured interview are more job related and allow for greater objectivity. Random questions during an interview don’t necessarily predict job performance. In the unstructured interview, there is a possibility that interviewer can evaluate performance based on gender, race and attractiveness.
An interviewer can systematically predict job performance because they have to prepare their questions, defined rating scales in advance, It can make hiring easier and more effective. The purpose of the interview is that interviewer can compare various candidates. If interview asks series of questions form one candidate and ask a different set from other candidates then how the interviewer will compare their answer but if an interviewer asks the same set of questions then it is easy for the interviewer to compare answers and see who was better to answer.
In the structured interview does not require to depend on his/her feeling selection candidates because selection will base on a ranking system, hence there is an eliminatory personal bias
