A. What environmental laws will apply to the new plant construction?

There are many laws that could apply to the new plant construction. These laws could include theClean Air and Water Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, as well as TSCA. If we analyse the given case, there will be a number of environmental laws which will be applicable. The most prevalent laws can be the Clean Air Act, The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Pollution Prevention Act.

B. What environmental law will have to be followed as you seek to get the national forest lease?

National Environmental Policy Act would be the law one must follow because they want to harvest timber. In order to have the national forest lease, it is mandatory to abide by the United States National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Statute. In addition t this, it I also required to have close discussion and consultation with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for determining the different types of risks which can create the hazards to the environment and the human health.

C. What steps should you take to maintain good community relations?

One will have to show appreciation for the law and also one would have to show that they will have a positive impact on the environment. The best way to do this is through public forums. Having a good relationship with the local community is always seems to be a great idea as the business will really grow if the support of the local community is won by the business. As this plant is going to be constructed recently and it is a new plant, it will be a good idea to invite the representatives of the community to visit the plant. This will create a positive image of the plan and the different facilities to be offered can also be demonstrated to the community.

Apart from this, the organization should also focus on giving back some profit to the community and a good community relationship can be initiated by the plant if they focus on facilitating and financing those services which make the community to be a better place to live in or to deal with the issues faced by the community.
