[C++] Need help finishing a Palindrome Checking Function
The function takes in a string and each individual character is stored in a stack. The stack is then checked to see if it is a palindrome.
This is what I have so far:
void palindromeCheck(string s){
stack myStack;
char c;
// converts string to individual chars and stored in stack
for (int i = 0; i < s.size(); i++){
c = s.at(i);
myStack.push(c);
}
// Palindrome check on stack ?
}
#include <iostream> #include <stack> using namespace std; bool palindromeCheck(string s) { stack<char> myStack; char c; // converts string to individual chars and stored in stack for (int i = 0; i < s.size(); i++) { c = s.at(i); myStack.push(c); } for (int i = 0; i < s.size(); i++) { if (myStack.top() != s[i]) { return false; } myStack.pop(); } return true; } int main() { cout << palindromeCheck("madam") << endl; cout << palindromeCheck("radar") << endl; cout << palindromeCheck("Hi") << endl; cout << palindromeCheck("palindrome") << endl; return 0; }

I have a queue and stack class program that deals with a palindrome, I need someone to help to put in templates then rerun the code. I'd greatly appreciate it. It's in C++. Here is my program: #include<iostream> #include<list> #include<iterator> #include<string> using namespace std; class Queue { public: list <char> queue; Queue() { list <char> queue; } void Push(char item) { queue.push_back(item); } char pop() { char first = queue.front(); queue.pop_front(); return first; } bool is_empty() { if(queue.empty()) { return...
Given the following classes: StringTools.java: public class StringTools { public static String reverse(String s){ char[] original=s.toCharArray(); char[] reverse = new char[original.length]; for(int i =0; i<s.length(); i++){ reverse[i] = original[original.length-1-i]; } return new String(reverse); } /** * Takes in a string containing a first, middle and last name in that order. * For example Amith Mamidi Reddy to A. M. Reddy. * If there are not three words in the string then the method will return null * @param name in...
I have added a little Code but I need help with the rest. /** A class of stacks whose entries are stored in a chain of nodes. Implement all methods in MyStack class Main Reference : text book or class notes Do not change or add data fields */ package PJ2; public class MyStack<T> implements StackInterface<T> { // Data fields private Node<T> topNode; // references the first node in the chain private int numberOfEntries; public...
I was told I need three seperate files for these classes is there anyway to tie all these programs together into one program after doing that. I'm using netbeans btw. import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Scanner; /** * * */ public class MySorts { public static void main(String[] args) { Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in); String sentence; String again; do { System.out .println("Enter a sentence, I will tell you if it is a palindrome: ");...
Help with c++ program. The following code takes an infix expression and converts it to postfix. When I compile the code it returns "Segmentation fault". However I don't know what causes this. #include #include #include using namespace std; template class Stack { public: Stack();//creates the stack bool isempty(); // returns true if the stack is empty T gettop();//returns the front of the list void push(T entry);//add entry to the top of the stack void pop();//remove the top of the stack...
Write a C program that takes two sets of characters entered by the user and merge them character by character. Enter the first set of characters: dfn h ate Enter the second set of characters: eedtecsl Output: defend the castle Your program should include the following function: void merge(char *s3, char *s1, char *s2); The function expects s3 to point to a string containing a string that combines s1 and s2 letter by letter. The first set might be longer...
public static int countCharacter(String str, char c) { // This recursive method takes a String and a char as parameters and // returns the number of times the char appears in the String. You may // use the function charAt(int i) described below to test if a single // character of the input String matches the input char. // For example, countCharacter(“bobbie”, ‘b’) would return back 3, while // countCharacter(“xyzzy”, ‘y’) would return back 2. // Must be a RECURSIVE...

I need help with this code This is what I need to do: Implement the Stack Class with an ArrayList instead of an array, including the following functions: • empty • push • peek • pop • overrided toString( ) function which returns all of the stack’s contents Things to note: • You no longer need a size. • You no longer need to define a constant DEFAULT_CAPACITY. Since ArrayLists grow dynamically. • Whenever possible, use ArrayList functions instead of...
In C. // Extract the integer from the input string and convert to int int convert(char *input){ // Declare int for result extracted from input int res = 0; // Declare int for sign of result // Declare two iterators // Declare a buffer for numeric chars // Set error to zero - no error found yet // Check for space in element 1 // Check for negative integer at element 2 // Loop to copy all numeric chars to...
