PH is the measure of hydrogen ion concentration in a solution and it is the negative logarithm to the base 10 of [H+]

pH = - log [H+]

If the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution is greater than 1M, pH can be negative.

For eg. For a 2M HCl,

pH = - log (2) = - 0.301

Hence the statement , it is impossible for an aqueous solution to have a negative pH is False
