Here, the one categories is age: either under 30 or over 30

and , another categories is routinely watch evening news on television: Yes or No

We want to test relationship between age and television

Here the first option is ANOVA which is used to checked whether the mean of each categories are equal or not. which isn't appropriate.

We used the same sample to identify information about the two categories. But Pearson's correlation is used to find the relationship between the two different variable with two different sample, so, last option is not correct.

We used t-test to test the claim of hypothesis. If there is two different variable, then there should be two different independent samples. But Here is no such condition. so Option third is also not correct.

We used the Pearson's Chi Square test to test the relationship between the two categorical variable within the same sample.

So, Pearson's Chi Square is correct method for measuring the relationship between age and television viewing preferences.
