1) It is acceptable for mothers to breastfeed their infants in public when there is no other facility available for them to do so, and if the process of breastfeeding cannot be delayed any further. Delaying breastfeeding can lead to issues such as hypoglycemia in the infant and hence, it is important to ensure that this practice must be considered acceptable.
2) Mothers must ensure that they breastfeed their child till one year or age, or a minimum of sic months in order to ensure proper and healthy Development. Formula feed is a substitute in case of medical conditions, social issues or lack of breast milk availability. It is not meant to be used when breast milk is available.
