What is synchronizer in S-MAC and FOLLOWER
and Border Node?
SYNCHRONIZER----
A random timer is started by each node after all the nodes being used or deployed.while timer is running nodes listens to find a neighbor , and the node whose timer expires first will be called as synchronizer , and it will be the first node to eject the sync packet . A sync packet contains the information about node that it will go to sleep in t seconds , and all neighbor present n this synchronize's range will also accept adjust there timers to sleep in t seconds .
schedule -
each node know in advance that how long it sleeps before waking up , hence a schedule is regarded to know the sleep and listen phases of a node .
FOLLOWER--
A node which adjust its schedule according to its synchronizer and will not affect its timer according to any other synchronizer in future is called follower.
BORDER NODE ---
those nodes which have synchronized there neighbor to same time schedule then at there intersection where both waves of synchronisation meets there are some border nodes present about all the schedulers .
the use of border nodes is to enables the inter cluster communication , and the will be the only nodes to carry one data packet from one cluster to another , border nodes adopt both schedules .
Consider a WSN node such that every 5 sec interval there is radio communication for 0.1 sec and sensor reading for 0.5s. Assume the node draws 20 mA when the radio is activated, 5 mA when the node is reading a sensor, and 0.5 mA when the node is sleeping. We use two AA batteries of 1.6 V and 2000 mAh connected in series Part (10 points): Calculate total charge drawn by the node in mAh over a 24 h...
A temperature sensor based WSN node provides an output of 10 mV to 210 mV over its operating range. Develop a signal conditioning circuit so that the output becomes 0 V to 3.3 V for the operating range. The circuit should offer very high input impedance.

1. A 6-node network is connected into an Ethernet switch implementing a star topology. Nodes are labeled A through F, and their MAC addresses follow M-A, M-B, and so on. Suppose that the following frames are sent a. A sends a frame to E b. Ereplies with a frame to A c. F sends a frame to B d. B replies with a frame to F e. D sends a frame to A The Ethernet switch table is initially empty....
In WiFi systems, nodes adopt CSMA MAC protocol to access to the shared media through contention. At the beginning, CWmin # 31 meaning that there are 32 slots available for users. Answer the following questions. (All answers limit to 1-2 sentences please.) 1) At the beginning, if node A pick up the back off counter BO-10, what is probability to win the channel contention ? However, after 3 slots node A detected that some other node began to sent package....
