You have been assigned to restart five autoclaves which were commissioned three years back and never been used at SKM Hospital. During the restart of the machines you managed to change door gaskets and bacteria filters and did some plumbing for drainage. Three of the machines managed to complete cycles and tests while two got stuck on negative pulsing. You escalated the report to the manufacture for help. Hello,

Being the field engineer I am writing to you today regarding a very serious issue which has to be noted and resolved at the earliest possible. The issue is regarding 5 Autoclave machines which were issued to SKM Hospital 3 years ago. These machines were not in use and hence might have got some technical fatigue failure. Do to such a long period of non operation the machine seems to have undergone some internal rusting of metal components or even clogging of the dynamically operating units. Out of 5 machines, 3 machines are in good condition and are operationally working while the rest two machines have got the issue of non operational duty. Even after doing the required plumbing checkup for drainage, changing of bacteria filters and door gaskets, the machine is not responding as desired and hence needs to be taken care by your team. Please get back to me regarding the failure modes for these 2 machines so that I could keep a track and verify these failure modes at earliest to be safe in the future. Due to non operational status of these 2 machines alot of tasks to be carried out are pending and some reports of the patient are an emergency cases and thus needs to be taken care at earliest.

Pls let me know the status regarding the checkup and stages for restarting these machines so that we could plan the further operations in such desired manner.
