A solenoid is 20 cm long and 4 cm across, and is made of 5 layers of wire with each layer wound tightly with an average density of 8.0 coils/cm.

(a) What is the total density of the coils?
(b) What is the B-field down the center of the solenoid if a 5 A current flows into it?
(c) An electron is shot into the solenoid parallel to the axis of symmetry. What direction does it deflect?
(d) What is the flux down the center of the solenoid?
(e) The current is decreased at a uniform rate until it completely stops after 5.0 seconds. What is the magnitude of the emf  induced in a wire loop which completely surrounds the solenoid?
(f) The induced emf  creates a current in the wire loop. Does that current run parallel to the solenoid current, or opposite it?
