A helium balloon has mass, yet it doesn't fall to the floor. Is there a real force pushing up on the helium balloon?

I know the answer is yes, but I don't understand why there is a force pushing it up.

The net force acting on the helium balloon is the resultant of the buoyant force and the weight of the balloon. The mass of the balloon acts downward and the buoyant force acts in the upward direction. As the buoyant force is always greater than the weight of the balloon, it doesn't fall down and touches the floor.
