Ans 1) Self-actualization
Self-actualization needs come in the form of achieving one's potential, it may relate to one's personal growth from their creative ideas and utilizing their potential to the fullest so that they become what they wanted to be and so managers should provide the employees with challenging tasks and should give freedom to their employees to try out their creative ideas in doing their work so that this need is fulfilled.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs theory comprises five human needs which are Psychological needs, Safety needs, Social needs, Self-esteem needs, and Self-actualization needs and based upon the need of one particular employee, the manager motivates them to do their work by fulfilling their needs.
The Psychological needs are the basic needs of a human, like food, clothing, shelter and therefore a manager should see that their employees get these basic needs. The safety needs are in the form of how a human being wants security in their life and it may be financial security, health security, job security, and protection from any kind of danger and a manager should see these needs by giving them safety in their work, giving them adequate amount in the form of salary so that they are financially secure. The social needs may be in the form of belonging, love from friends and family so that they do not feel alone and this need can be fulfilled by forming a good bond with employees and involving them in group work so that they do not feel alone. Self-esteem needs may be in the form of a person wanting recognition for their work in front of everyone, their status in the society, getting respect from everyone and for this, a manager could give awards and certificates for the achievement to their employees so that they feel good among themselves.
