A variable is exogenous if it is:

(choose all correct answers)

A- not necessary for a given model
B- not impactful on a given model's results
C- not explained (or determined) within the given model
D- Fixed or pre-determined in a given model.
E- not included in a given model

I'm very confused about how the definition of exogenous is applicable to this question.

Answer

Options C and D

An exogenous variable is predefined, and it impacts the given model but it is not explained by the model.

An exogenous variable is independent of the model but the model if for the endogenous variable and this exogenous variable explains the endogenus variable.

It means it is fixed or predetermined and it not explained in the model, but it has an impact on the model.
