SQL injection is considered as an illegal act where this attack has been done earlier against the ATM Machines, where malwares have been uploaded which captured pin numbers and acquired money from the ATM.

It has also been used to hack many browsers and websites which break apart the website and fetched all the data which were confidential.

This is a computer related fraud which is illegal under various law as well as regulations.

So as to regulate and mitigate such attacks, penetration testing, auditing, security checks, monitoring are made, to safeguard the systems from such attacks.
