Ans) Environmental regulation are the laws which aims to protect our environment. As we know that due to rapid industrialisation, much harm has been brought to the environment.

Going back to the stone age is not an option to protect environment. So we look towards the technology to save the day.

Technological innovations are the need of an hour if we want to save the precious environment.

Environmental regulation and technological innovation are complementary in a sense that if government places more environmental regulation, we need more technological innovation which can combat pollution and at the same time enhance productivity.
