1- 380V, 60Hz, 4 pole, 1650 rpm, delta connected squirrel cage IM has the following parameters referred to stator. R1=2Ω, R2=5, x1=x2=6Ω xm=95Ω. Motor speed is controlled by stator voltage control. When driving a constant developed load torque it runs at rated speed at rated voltage, calculate
i) Motor terminal voltage, current and torque at 1400 rpm and
ii) Motor speed, current and torque for the terminal voltage of 300V
iii) Minimum speed can be obtained by reducing the terminal voltage.
iv) what is the motor terminal voltage to operate at minimum speed.
If the motor is controlled by varying the supply voltage and frequency calculate the applied voltage and frequency to operate the motor at 900 rpm. Make any suitable assumptions.
