Answer #1

best practices for safe and secure employee computer use:
- Do not click suspicious links within the home network (Ex. HTTP, foreign/irrelevant website): When you get an email or alert from emails or other media make sure to hover the link before click on it. If you hover it, you can view the website full address. Validate the website before clicking on it from the work device.

- Identify phishing websites: Phishing means using the design of exactly the original website collecting information from the end user. For example www.facebokk.com, it is not facebooked website but depicts like this and we tend to enter the username/password since the website looks exactly as same as original facebook webpage.

- Use encryption and crypto techniques: Do not store the confidential information like passwords, pin etc locally without encryption or some passwords to open it. Use built-in encryption tools.

- Strengthen protocol security: Make sure your device follows the protocols.

- Update the systems regularly: Make sure the system updated regularly.

- Validate the data before sending to avoid SQL injection based attacks

- Use strong passwords: The password should not be your name, mobile no or easy to guess value. It should be a combination of lower, upper case letters, special characters, the password which have not used earlier and it should be changed every 3 months.
