Assume that the resolution would be diffraction limited and that the moon is 380,000 km away. Take the wavelength of light as 550 nm, which is near the peak of our sensitivity. = 1.22 * wavelength / diameter

= 1.22 * 550e-9 / 58e-3

= 1.1568e-5 radians

Now,

size of smallest feature (d) can be found as

d = * L

d = 1.1568e-5*380000*1000

d = 4396 m

or

d = 4.396 km
