Total resource policy-
These policies help in increasing or decreasing the revenue of total school. Schools use to choose their expenditures due to which the impact of spending an additional dollar on each output can be equalized. The budget constraint is shifted to the right by total resource policies.


Input based policy-
These policies are used to alter a specific input.
Example- Size of class, sports, mobile phones.


Output-based policy-
These policies help to provide incentives for the schools and teachers so that output can be increased by setting targets.
Example- Choice of school, a measure of output of teachers, output policies of a teacher.
