Let’s assume that there is circuit that runs from the Dallas,Tx  to San Antonio,TX and back to the Dallas,Tx and contains a light bulb located at San Antonio. Once this circuit is connected to a power supply current is recorded and the light bulb lights up instantaneously.

The question is this: Once the power supply is connected will electrons located at Dallas travel to San Antonio reaching the light bulb by moving fast into the wire at speeds compared to speed of light ?   Please explain your reasoning in detail with the use of minimal mathematics if needed.
