From given information the null and alternative hypothess are,

P-value for this test is 0.25

since, p-value = 0.25 > 0.05, we fail to reject the null hypothesis ( H0 ).

Conclusion : There isn't much evidence to support a conclusion that the presence of carpet is associated with an increase or decrease in the mean bacterial concentration of air.
