The following are some of the ways managers should give attention to reduce conflicts in the workplace:

- privately talk with each conflicting participant.

- listen carefully to their problem.

- approach them with a friendly attitude.

- identify the causes behind the conflict.

- develop a plan for to solve the conflict.

- find possible solution to the conflict.

- organise conflict resolution workshop.

- keep an open - door policy for the employees.

- organise business parties and get- togethers.

- conflict should be winded up with clear handshake between the conflicting participants and the manager ahould dismiss the meeting.

- avoid personal bias.

- focus on thebehaviour of the conflicting employees rather than personality.

- workout the areas where conflict occurred.

- take measures to avoid such conflicts.

- show empathy towards employees.
