You decide to grant the request, but your direct manager comes to you angrily demanding to know why you acceded to the employee's request. Please give three (3) reasons, not tied to sentimentality, that you might give your manager to measurably or pragmatically support your decision.

Reasons to support the decision are as follows -

1) Since the employee is working on an hourly wage, it would not make a difference in the cost incurred as compared to a fixed salaried employee.

2) It will increase the employee's efficiency as (S)he would have not wanted to work on Tuesdays & Thursdays which would have led to demotivation and lower performance than expected.

3) This will also help in building the image of the organization as a new age & flexible one.

4) Will increase employee satisfaction in the company.

5) Will help in better employee engagement.
