This is an important task of making sure that the company’s objectives, systems & strategies are optimally adapted to the environment.

Strategic control is conducting an in depth study to examine whether the company is exploring & pursuing its own best opportunities or is making use of any external sources.

It is the responsibility of the top management to conduct frequent investigation because software is an area where there can be frequent obsolescence of objectives, policies, strategies & programs is considered to be a regular possibility

The management can go for strategic control in two ways i.e. by conducting frequent review & audit internally at intervals.
